Jeanne Clement, APRN, PMHCNS-BC

There are many reason that people make the decision to see a therapist. Frequently the reasons reflect a felt need to make changes in their lives and they want to explore how, what, where and sometimes why. Often an individual may have a problem in living that they would like to explore and work with a non-judgmental third party to solve.   As a therapist, Dr. Clement believes that her job is indeed to work with the person or persons who seek therapy to find the answers to the feelings, ideas and issues that brought them to the practice.

Dr. Clement’s decision to enter into the field of mental health, then to focus on becoming a therapist began on the first day of her first class in psychiatric nursing when the professor said: “The best therapeutic tool you have in this field is yourself.” In the past 60 years that has proven to be one of the best decisions of her life.

In the 40+ years she has been in private practice she has had the privilege of working with a variety of individuals, couples and families with diverse life experiences, cultures, beliefs and values. Her debt to them can never be repaid. Her work together with them has enabled her to grow in her respect for the human spirit and its’ ability to adapt, change and heal.
