Amy Smith, DNP, MSW, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC

As a lifelong central Ohio resident, Dr. Amy Smith is passionate about and dedicated to serving her community. With a focus on the overall health of an individual’s mind, body and spirit, she partners with individuals, families, and communities to achieve wellness. Dr. Amy Smith emphasizes that the foundation of resilience and recovery is built from a non-judgmental and accepting approach to care. She empowers individuals and families with the knowledge and skills they need to reach their true potential.  

Specifically, Dr. Amy Smith provides medication management and psychotherapy to address mental health conditions including severe mental illnesses; mood disorders; depression, and anxiety; trauma-related disorder including PTSD; dual diagnosis; substance use disorder including treatment for opioid use disorders; and childhood developmental disorders among many others.  She works with children ages 12 and up through adults.

Dr. Amy Smith specializes in treating individuals experiencing difficulties with mental health and substance use disorders, with an emphasis on the treatment the whole person and integrating care.  In addition to providing direct services, Dr. Amy Smith has been instrumental in developing interdisciplinary and collaborative programs in the community to improve access and quality of care for all those she serves. 

Dr. Amy Smith is a committed, lifelong learner and educator who is a dually Certified Nurse Practitioner, with specializations in Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Practice.  She is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice at The Ohio State University College of Nursing where she teaches the next generation of nurse practitioners in the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program.
